The American Society for Quality (ASQ) Ahmedabad Local Member Community (LMC) and Institute of Management, Nirma University jointly organized the 10th Annual International Conference on Quality Management on 27-28 November 2020 (Friday-Saturday, 5 PM 7 PM) at Nirma University in Virtual mode using WebEx Online Platform. The theme of the conference was “Project Atmanirbhar: World Class Quality for Self-Reliance”. The Conference was organized with the Association Partnerships of Vadodara Innovation Council; Rajkot Management Association and Project Management Institute (PMI) Gujarat Chapter; and Auto Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). The Chief Guest was Dr. Joerg Dehmer, Global Quality Head, Bosch Rexroth AG, Germany. Key Note Speech was delivered by Prof. Prem Vrat, Chairman, BoG, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Guest of Honour Speech was delivered by Mr. Suresh Lulla, Founder & Mentor, QIMPRO. Another Guest of Honour was Mr. Anindya Sarangi, Director, ASQ South Asia addressed the attendees.
Prof. Rajesh K. Jain, Professor, Institute of Management, Nirma Universty & Chair ASQ LMC gave the Welcome Address. The Second Day of the conference witnessed SAMVAD (Panel Discussion), on the theme THE ROLE OF QUALITY TO MAKE INDIA SELF RELIANT. The eminent panelists were Mr. Jagdish Shukla, CEO, Servilink Systems Ltd., Mr. Sanjay K. Jain, President-India Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Brijesh Shah, Delivery Head, SPEC India and VP, PMI, Mr. Chetan Kothari, Sr. Lawyer, Chairman, RMA, Mr. Sachin Garg, Regional Director, ASQ, Dr. Rajesh K. Jain, Professor, Nirma University (Moderator). The Valedictory Chief Guest was Mr. C. V. Raman, Sr. Executive Director & Member of the Executive Board (Engg., Quality Assurance & Supply Chain) Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.
