The Sports Committee of the Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU), hosted the Ice-Breaking Tournament 2025. This four-day event focused on competitive sports to welcome the incoming MBA batch of2025-2027.
The tournament saw enthusiastic participation in events like volleyball, throwball, chess, and table tennis. This created an exciting atmosphere and encouraged camaraderie. In men’s volleyball, Senior Section C won first place, while Senior Section A took second. The seniors also won the exhibition volleyball match. In the women’s throwball category, Senior Section A defeated Senior FB&E.
The chess title was secured by Aaryan Shah, followed by Vihal Doshi as runner-up. In table tennis, Kavan Patel won the men’s singles category, with Tarun Jain taking second place. Yashika Gupta triumphed in women’s singles, while Anshita Bothra was runner-up. The men’s doubles title went to the duo of Kavan Patel and Saumya Patel, with Het Patel and Kevin Joy coming in second. The mixed doubles saw Yashika Gupta and Jeet Kirodiwal take the top spot, followed by Kevin Joy and Khevna Bhagat.
The tournament not only showcased athletic talent but also built strong connections among the new students. It set an energetic tone for the academic year ahead.
