The Optimus – Operations Club at the Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU), successfully conducted the event titled “The Best Manager” on Sunday. This competition was designed to evaluate participants’ problem-solving skills, analytical reasoning, and managerial decision-making, providing a practical platform for students to address real-world business challenges.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Parth Joshi, Associate Director at KPMG, who offered expert insights on decision-making in the age of AI. He motivated students to thoughtfully integrate human intelligence with technology, encouraging them to tackle challenges with a well-rounded perspective.
The competition comprised two rounds. The initial round included a rapid-fire quiz featuring 20 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 8 minutes, testing participants’ awareness and quick thinking. In the second round, the top 12 teams participated in a case competition, where they received case scenarios just 10 minutes before presenting their solutions. The cases addressed critical issues such as tariff disputes, smart city development, and highway delays.
Among 54 teams, Team Destroyers (Harsh, Dhruv & Vyom – MBA-FT) claimed the top position, followed by Team Elysium (Nitya, Smit & Rajat – MBA-FT) in second place, and Team Cereal Killers (Priyanshu & Raunak – MBA-FT) in third. The winners received gift hampers valued at ₹10,000.
