The Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU) hosted an insightful guest session on Strategic Leadership with Prof. Sheb True, Vice Provost and Associate Professor at Kennesaw State University, USA. The session offered students a global perspective on leadership and decision-making, focusing on how strategy shapes organizational success in today’s dynamic business world.
Prof. True shared practical insights drawn from global corporations such as Walmart and Apple, explaining how businesses balance quality, cost, and innovation to stay competitive. He elaborated on the Blue Ocean Strategy, encouraging students to think beyond conventional markets and explore innovative approaches that create value and differentiation. He also emphasized that effective leadership depends on understanding people, communication, and aligning every decision with the organization’s goals.
The session encouraged participants to ask the right questions and think critically about real-world business challenges. Through engaging stories and examples, Prof. True highlighted that success is not driven by technology or process alone, but by clarity of thought, empathy, and the ability to anticipate change.
