Dr. Aishwarya Mitra is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management, Nirma University. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Department of Management Studies, NIT Durgapur, and has also successfully completed the CA Intermediate level from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Her doctoral research examined the impact of financial literacy on financial inclusiveness, with a focus on the mediating role of behavioral biases in the Indian context. Her academic and teaching interests include Behavioral Finance, Financial Literacy & Inclusion, Consumer Financial Behavior, Cost & Management Accounting, and Development Economics. She is particularly passionate about integrating behavioral insights into financial education and policy-making to promote inclusive growth.
Dr. Mitra has participated in academic conferences like IIMs and IITs and contributed to research in the field of financial behavior and public policy. She has also published in referred journals of Emerald, Taylor&Francis and Sage and she actively contributes as reviewer for publishers like Emeralsd and Sage.
With a strong foundation in both finance and accounting, she is committed to delivering student-centered teaching and conducting research that bridges academic theory with real-world impact.
