Currently, Dr. Rasmita Nayak holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management, Nirma University, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. obtained from IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal, specializing in Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Tourism Economics. During her doctoral studies, she actively contributed to two research projects sponsored by the ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research). Furthermore, she has successfully cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in economics and also received the prestigious ICSSR Central Doctoral Fellowship in recognition of her academic achievements.
Dr. Nayak has showcased her research expertise by presenting her work at esteemed national and international conferences, including those organized by The Indian Econometric Society (TIES), The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) under the Government of India, The East Asian Economic Association, and the Singapore Economic Review Conference. Additionally, She has also received a best paper award at the CIEMB conference organized by National Economics University, Vietnam.
Her educational journey also includes completing her MA, MPhil, and undergraduate studies at Utkal University in Odisha. Prior to her current role, she served as a Research Analyst at the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) in Delhi, gaining valuable experience in the field of economics.
