Human Resource Management (HRM) focuses not only on the soft HR but the hard HR as well – managing processes, empowering, and engaging employees. The faculty in the area teaches courses in Human Resource Management (HRM) across all programmes of the Institute of Management, Nirma University. The team also teaches related courses at other Institutes of Nirma University, Faculty Development and Management Development Programmes (MDPs) both offered by Institute of Management and Nirma University. Individual faculty members of the Area have taught in different premier B-Schools (including IIMs) and other countries having publications in national and international academic journals.

The “Future-Ready Managers” are required to manage and engage teams requiring hands-on knowledge of managing human resources. The courses offered in the HRM area are focused on both developing knowledge and skills to manage human resources to make significant business contributions. Some of the courses offered are Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management, HR Analytics, Competency Mapping, HR Consulting, Organizational Development and Change Management, Corporate Social Responsibility to international human resource management, and Employer Branding to name a few. The HRM area does research and consultancy in the domains of HRM and Business Leadership focused on deriving the best out of employees in organizations. Faculty members have designed and offered many new courses and skill workshops for the students and working managers to have practical insights into HRM function.

Human Resource Management contributes to preparing students who aim to pursue HRM in their postgraduate studies. Some of its distinguished alumni, specialising in HRM hold key positions in organisations of repute, across sectors such as Infosys Limited, Wipro Limited, Amazon, DarwinBox, Reliance Insurance Limited, IBM, Tata Power Limited, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Bharti Infratel Limited, UPL Ltd., ADP, Kantar, The Smart Cube, Jubilant Ingrevia, Volvo Eicher, Axis Bank, Searce, Birla Soft, Hyundai Motor India, Daimler India, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, Royal Enfield and and IOCL to name a few.
