29th Nirma International Conference on Management

Nirma International Conference on Management (NICOM) is the annual international management conference hosted by Institute of Management, Nirma University. NICOM is a platform for academicians, researchers, and practicing managers to engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary developments and issues related to businesses in the modern era. With a successful history, spanning over 27 years, the upcoming NICOM 2026, scheduled for January 7th to 9th, 2026 will mark the 29th consecutive conference. The theme for NICOM 2026 is:

Management Challenges: People, Practice and Progress

The modern landscape of management is constantly evolving, shaped by dynamic technological advancements, global challenges, and shifting cultural and socio-economic environments. As organizations strive to enhance efficiency, innovation, and sustainability, the focus on people—their skills, diversity, and engagement—remains paramount. Practices that prioritize people-centric approaches, ethical decision-making, and continuous improvement are key drivers of organizational success. Furthermore, as progress in management continues to be accelerated by new technologies, systems, and global interconnectivity, the need for adaptive and forward-thinking strategies is more critical than ever.

This conference is designed to explore the interconnections between people, management practices, and progress in contemporary organizations. By bringing together academics, practitioners, policymakers, and thought leaders, the event will foster meaningful dialogue, exchange of ideas, and collaborative learning on the theme. It will serve as a platform for advancing new insights into how people-oriented management practices can contribute to organizational and societal progress. The conference calls for deliberation on how challenges resulting from people and practices affect progress, as well as how people and practices can be used to strengthen and help the organization grow. The conference also invites participants to chart the historical growth of management practices in order to chart the further growth.
