Institute of Management, Nirma University organised an inaugural ceremony on 26th June 2023 to welcome the new batches of MBA, Btech-MBA,MBA (FB & E), MBA HRM, and Integrated Five-Year BBA-MBA programs. Industry leaders and speakers were given the stage to address the students and give direction to them.
Mr. Rajeev Dubey, Chairman Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd and Member of the Governing Body, International Labour Organization (ILO), Geneva stressed upon having a purpose in life. He said, while structures and processes are necessary, the essence of success is the purpose behind it.
Mr. Sudhir Mishra, Associate Vice President (talent acquisition), Infosys Bengaluru spoke about how humans differentiate from machines. He proposed, our KASH- Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Habits make us what we are. He further stressed upon having the right attitude and habits to excel at the workplace.
Mr. Parag Desai, Executive Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, highlighted customer value and listed ten success factors: family dynamics, entrepreneurial mindset, networking, technology, financial acumen, communication, strategic planning, succession planning, company culture, and social contribution.
Dr. Subir Verma, Nirma University’s Institute of Management Director, emphasized the need for individuals to evolve, adapt, acquire relevant skills, and prioritize personal growth in the VUCA world. Continuous development is crucial for effectively responding to the challenges posed by uncertainties.
Dr. Anup Singh, Nirma University’s Director General, emphasized the crucial role of Attitude and Habits for new students, linking success to action, contribution, and value creation. He underscored attitude’s 80 percent influence on behavior and regarded failure as a valuable ally on the path to success, stating, “Your failure is your best friend.”
