Pragaman 4.0 The Entrepreneurship Conclave: “Emanating Entrepreneurship Ethos – Yardstick of Success?

 

Pragaman 4.0 2019, the Entrepreneurship Conclave of Institute of Management, Nirma University, was organized by Swayam, The Entrepreneurship Club of IMNU. The Conclave was organized on 12th December, 2019 with the theme, ?Emanating Entrepreneurship Ethos – Yardstick of Success?. It commenced at 10:00 A.M with the discussion about how the change in entrepreneurship culture around the country it is mandatory for a management individual to get acquainted with the rapidly changing culture. Swayam resolved to provide the students a platform to do so.

The inaugural address of the Entrepreneurship Conclave was delivered by Shri Yaduvendra Mathur, Ex- Special Secretary, NITI Aayog. Ex- Chairman & MD, EXIM Bank of India. He began the session with the thought, ?Future is best when you create it? He explained why one should have a futuristic approach towards every problem. He asked entrepreneurs to live with the problem, live with a question. This will help them explore options and not restrain themselves. He further talked about transforming market. An individual must be aware if they want to have a start-up or a small business and should analyze market if it is a fair competition or not. At last he informed us that how NITI Aayog is about Transformation, which previously was Planning Commission.

 

Following the first address, the students geared up for the second session by Mr. Vivek Kapoor, Co-Founder of Dineout. He began the session by giving an entrepreneurship angle to the theme of the conclave. He spoke about how Dineout grew to be a company that builds technology for restaurants and not just facilitates table reservations for diners. ?Do not force your product on customers just because you built it?, was the key takeaway from the session. His successful entrepreneurial strategy, ?A good team is crucial for executing a good idea? helped him to build his business.

Commencing the next session, which was a Talk Show, Mr. Dharamveer Singh Chouhan, Co-founder, Zostel. He discussed about various problems an entrepreneur faces on a daily basis, while sharing various personal examples. He talked about Zostel as a firm from its genesis to what it is today. While discussing about the rapid changes happening in hospitality industry, he threw light on technological transformation in the industry and innovations occurring. He also talked about the current competition in the industry and industry ecosystem.

The fourth session is a panel discussion. The panelists for the session are Aasit Shah, MD- eQuinoxx, Priyank Shah, Co-Founder Beardo, Sameer Sinha, MD- Savvy group, Ruchir Joshi, Founder Momoman.

The last session will be addressed by Ms. Deepshikha Kumar Anand, Founder SpeakIn, FICCI, Author. The Conclave concluded with a vote of thanks. The event served its purpose by enlightening students and making them brainstorm around the rapidly transforming entrepreneurship culture across the globe.
