Kaizen – The Alumni Relations Committee, Institute of Management, Nirma University, successfully hosted “Pratidhwani,” the 11th Alumni Conclave on December 22, 2023. The conclave centered around the theme Geonomy: The Intersection of Power and Prosperity. Distinguished alumni engaged in inspiring seminars, discussing the dynamic connection between geopolitics and the economy.
The opening session of Pratidhwani featured Mr. Rohit Swarup, Founder, and Director of Xplora Design Skool, addressing topics of skills and intrapreneurship, delving into the realm of skills and corporate innovation.
In the second session, Mr. Romil Shah, Director at AutoArena & Carzspa, provided a historical overview, emphasizing that geonomy is a viewpoint promoting both personal and societal development. He praised India’s rise in power, citing strong leadership and intent, particularly evident in decisions like banning Chinese apps. Ms. Shreya Biswas emphasized the need to understand the geopolitical landscape and inspired participants to widen their skill sets for future-proofing their jobs.
After lunch, a panel discussion with Mr. Harry Jose, Ms. Akansha Gandotra, and Ms. Esha Nagar covered a wide range of subjects, including the effects of cancel culture, sustainable practices, and the changing role of marketing. Mr. Devanshu Bhatia, a seasoned procurement professional, stressed the critical need for transparent and resilient supply chains in the face of geopolitical uncertainties. He highlighted the shift towards diversification and ecosystem partnerships.
The conclave concluded with a consensus on the transformative power of Geonomy, fostering resilience, adaptability, and collaboration in the pursuit of global prosperity. Students were motivated to explore the delicate balance between prosperity and power in a world that is always changing during the event.
