Vichardhaara is the official quiz and debate club of the BBA programme, IMNU. It not only focuses on the domain it covers, but also conducts events which enhance the participant’s speaking, writing, creative and intellectual skills. It is a place where one ignites their thoughts and becomes aware of the general knowledge around oneself.
Flagship Event:
Brand Wars is a quizzing event organized by Vichardhaara – The Quiz and Debate Club of IMNU. It is one of the flagship events of VD. In this rigorous brainstorming event, the participation of around 40 teams with 2 participants each were witnessed. The entire event was thought-provoking, and all the participating teams and spectators were compelled to test their knowledge of various brands and companies.
This event was conducted on August 21, 2019. In this event, participants can choose to present a story, poem or speech, under the umbrella topic: CULTURE-Creating diversity or differences. Furthermore, there will be individual participation and the participants are at liberty to choose their topic but has to fall under the given theme above. Hence, enhancing their public speaking skills and building up their confidence.
This event was conducted on 30th March, 2019. It comprised of two rounds; 1st round was about participants performing their own raps on a topic of their choice. The time allotted per participant for performing their piece was 2 minutes. The second round had the participants qualifying from the first round, where they were paired up randomly and had to form a rap of their own within a time frame of 10 minutes. Each team was allotted a topic on the spot. The 2 members of the team were not allowed to discuss their piece among themselves, till they performed.
This event was conducted on 19Th March, 2019. Siyahi was spread in 4 rounds. The first round: an online round was conducted where the participants were asked to write about the given topic in 200 words. The second round covered the new concept of micro tales: ‘Small is the new big.’ The third round required the participants to write a 4 stanza poem. The fourth round: Analyzing an article, participants were supposed to pen down their opinions about the given article.
This event was conducted on 22nd January last semester. It focused on enhancing one’s creativity via the medium of a story, a poem, an essay, or any other piece of writing. The piece of writing was supposed to be based on the object the participant received through the process of bidding via the number of words. The participant was required to bid for their favorable object among 10 objects provided to them and the one who bid with the lowest number of words got the advantage over others to choose first.
This event was conducted on 8th February, 2019. It comprised of two rounds; first round required each team to answer a set of ten questions. The second round was a Rapid Fire Round, where each team was given a set of topics (such as Politics, Sports, World News, Business News, Gaming) to choose from. After they chose their desired topic, they had to answer 5 questions based on that topic. Moreover, the team that got the maximum points in round 1 got to choose first.
