Long emails threads, no proper planning for projects, no idea about who is working on what, ideas are not in place, scattered files, communication delay, no feedback, conflict in team members, and many more things that require attention. Resonating with me??? Ineffective communication skills are the main concern and fundamental problem of any teamwork. Besides other skills, teamwork and communication skills have been recognised as important skills that every learner should have. It’s time to organise your team communication and arrange everything into one place.
These skills can’t be transferred rather they should be taught for their personal, emotional, societal, and professional growth. We have seen the paradigm shift in the education system where teachers and students are being motivated to achieve digital skills. Due to the pandemic, the education sector’s dependency on digital infrastructure has been increased and they have neglected other skills such as personal and interpersonal skills. Despite various changes, it is evident that still teachers are adopting the lecture method as a part of their pedagogy and giving written assignments as assessment methods. What can be the theory of change? There are multiple approaches where a teacher can adopt those as new teaching methods such as project-based learning, teamwork, storytelling, research-based assignments, etc. This can play a quintessential role in revamping the art of teaching. Not only this, it will help students to hone their teamwork and interpersonal skills.
