    Executive Diploma Programme


    The Institute started the Executive Diploma in Management Programmes (EDP) in 1999 to fulfill the needs of the working executives, managers and entrepreneurs. This year (i.e. in 2021-22), the Programmes are offered in specialisations
    (i) Business Analytics
    (ii) Finance
    (iii) Human Resource Management
    (iv) Marketing
    (v) Operations Management
    However, a particular programme will be offered only if a minimum of 20 candidates opt for it.

    Eligibility & Admission Procedure

    After undergoing this programme, the participant shall be able to:

    • Use relevant conceptual frameworks and best management practices,
    • Scan socio-economic-technical, political- ecological -legal environment at national and international levels affecting organisations,
    • Make effective decisions,
    • Demonstrate functional leadership, teamwork and social skills
    • Demonstrate understanding of business and organisational contexts for effective decision making

    The online classes are conducted on Sundays (between 09.00AM and 05.00PM) to suit the working executives. The programmes’ structure is given below:

    • Duration: 33 Sundays
    • Number of Courses in a Programme: Nine
    • Course Credit: 18 Credit Hours (One credit hour is equal to 10 classroom sessions of one hour each)
    • Online Programme with one week immersion at University campus for the year 2021-22.

    The pedagogy consists of lectures and discussions, case analyses, simulation exercises, assignments, projects, etc. Lectures and presentations by industry experts and accomplished scholars will also be organized from time to time. The classrooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with multimedia and audio-visual aids to facilitate the teaching-learning process. The participants are encouraged to use the library that subscribes to 14 databases and around 10,000 E-journals through databases such as EBSCOs, Business Source Complete, Academic Search Elite, JSTOR, Elsevier’s Science Direct: Business Management & Accounting Package, Emerald Management 150, and Oxford ebundle. The library also subscribes to ISI Emerging Markets Database, which provides trade-related information from all over the world. The financial and economic databases subscribed to by the library are ACE Equity, ACE Mutual Funds, Cogenesis, Center for Monitoring Indian Economy, Industry Outlook, Economic Outlook, and States of India Services. The library also subscribes to Indiastat.com, which is a socioeconomic database.

    A three-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Nirma University as eligible for Post-Graduate studies and a minimum of two years work experience as on 30th July, 2021. Only post degree (graduation) work experience will be taken into consideration for deciding the work experience criterion for admission. Work experience will be counted from the date of issue of the final year graduation mark sheet.

    Admissions shall be offered based on the performances in the personal interview, work experience and past academic records. The programmes shall commence from TBA.

    Nirma Application Form:

    • Read the Admission Application Instructions carefully before filling up the form.
    • Fill in the on line application form and submit it along with an online payment of Rs.1250/- + Applicable Taxes by credit card/debit card/net banking.

    Each Executive Diploma Programme has a course fee of Rs. 46,000/-, which includes Tuition Fee, Books/Study Material Charges. Educational loans, if desired, could be arranged through banks.  The Fee is payable in two installments of Rs. 23,000/- each. First installment is to be paid at the time of registration, and the second in the month of November.  The payment should be made in the form of Cheque or DD drawn in favour of ‘Institute of Management, Nirma University’ payable at Ahmedabad.
