Instruction, innovation, and involvement with the community are three vital activities carried out at Nirma University. Nirma University is highly engaged in extension activities through its students to build the neighbouring communities on one hand and to foster the psycho-social development of students on the other, with the aim to make students more socially responsible global citizens. Extension activities are broadly classified into three categories based on their goals. These are, to make students socially responsible through courses as part of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Curriculum. At the Undergraduate level, Students undergo an internship in an NGO in the first year of the Integrated BBA-MBA Programme. At the Postgraduate level,Ethics, Accountability, and Social Projects (EASP) course is introduced to sensitize students. Additionally, extension activities include planned long-term involvement with communities through the various national social programmes, where students spend about two weeks volunteering in nearby areas. The third category consists of a variety of activities, including going to nursing homes, setting up blood donation drives, helping the less fortunate, hosting expert lectures, and organising food drives.
