The Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU), celebrated its 30th Foundation Day with an inspiring address by Mr. Sanjay Kaul, Senior IAS Officer and Managing Director of GIFT City, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The event brought together faculty, students, and dignitaries to celebrate three decades of IMNU’s journey in management education. Dr. Nityesh Bhatt, Director, IMNU, welcomed the gathering, followed by Dr. Anup Singh, Director General, Nirma University, who highlighted the significance of international financial centres in driving national growth, citing GIFT City as a model for India’s emerging financial ecosystem.
In his keynote, Mr. Sanjay Kaul highlighted India’s position as the world’s fastest-growing economy, emphasizing innovations in digital inclusion and entrepreneurship, citing examples such as UPI and startups like Zerodha. Speaking on GIFT City, he noted that it is India’s first international financial hub, conducting transactions in 15 foreign currencies, hosting exchanges for 23 hours daily, and achieving a turnover of over $100 billion in the last fiscal year.
The celebration also included the felicitation and award ceremony of distinguished academic achievers from BBA and MBA Programmes, recognizing their excellence, which inspired motivation among the attendees. The 30th Foundation Day reaffirmed IMNU’s commitment to fostering leadership, innovation, and nation-building, while continuing to serve as a launchpad for the next generation of global leaders.
