The Fiesta Club, which is the Dance and Music Club of the Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU), hosted Raas Rang, an energetic Garba workshop at the Dome Ground. This two-day event, taking place on 3rd and 4th September, united students and faculty in a vibrant celebration of Gujarat’s cultural heritage, rhythm, and community spirit as the festive season began.
The workshop was facilitated by skilled instructors from Rangrasiya Garba Classes, who led participants through fundamental Garba steps before progressing to lively routines. The first day introduced the well-known 3-clap and 7-clap styles, while the second day showcased the dynamic Dakla dance form. Each session offered practical learning and plenty of practice, motivating participants to immerse themselves in the joy and excitement of Garba.
Each evening concluded with an open freestyle Garba session, allowing attendees to display their talent and enthusiasm in a colorful and festive atmosphere. A standout moment of the first day was a live performance by the Meghdhanush Band, which enhanced the celebrations with musical energy.
The event drew over 500 participants, highlighting the lasting spirit of unity and cultural pride within the IMNU community. Raas Rang was made possible through the generous contributions of sponsors: Nidhivan Garba as the Title Sponsor, Oven the Bakery as the Gifting Partner, and UBoat as the Co-Sponsor.
The event provided participants with treasured memories and festive joy, reinforcing the institute’s dedication to fostering cultural engagement alongside academic excellence
