The Institute of Management, Nirma University hosted its Inaugural Ceremony for all the batches of the academic year 2025-27 on June 26, 2025, the event welcomed 601 aspiring management professionals, with enthusiastic participation from their families, especially on the inaugural day, reinforcing the spirit of community and shared aspiration.
The week-long induction offered a comprehensive introduction to the academic journey ahead, blending orientation sessions, industry interactions, and institutional briefings. Students were acquainted with the expectations, rigor, and opportunities that lie ahead in their two-year MBA journey.
A key highlight were the sessions held on June 25, 2025, on “Corporate Expectations from MBA Graduates”.
The formal Inaugural Ceremony, held on June 26, 2025, was a vibrant celebration of beginnings.
Mr. Sudhir Sharma, Head – Talent Acquisition, Adani Group, delivered the keynote address to students of the MBA (Full-Time) and B.Tech (CSE) – MBA programmes. He challenged students to look beyond traditional roles and adopt a problem-solving mindset. He urged them to embrace innovation, cultivate peer learning, and build purpose-driven careers.
Dr. Anup K. Singh, Director General, Nirma University, reflected on the post-liberalization journey of India and underscored the importance of multidisciplinary knowledge and holistic thinking in contemporary management education. Dr. Nityesh Bhatt, Director, IMNU, welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of campus immersion and disciplined growth.
The subsequent session for students of the Integrated BBA-MBA, MBA (Family Business & Entrepreneurship), and MBA (HRM) featured Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Director – HRBP Global HR, Johnson Controls – Hitachi, as the Chief Guest. He shared valuable lessons on resilience, adaptability, and continuous self-development, encouraging students to balance core values with experimentation in their personal and professional lives.
Concluding the ceremony, Dr.Jayesh Aagja, Chairperson – MBA Programme, and Dr.Sapna Parashar, Chairperson – Integrated BBA-MBA Programme, delivered the vote of thanks.
