The Institute of Management at Nirma University held its grand inaugural ceremony on 27th June, 2024 to warmly welcome the 28th batch of MBA, the 5th batch of MBA HRM, the 21st batch of MBA FB&E, the 12th batch of IMBA, and the 2nd batch of integrated Btech. (CSE) MBA programs for the academic years 2024-2026.
The ceremony, held with great enthusiasm and anticipation, was graced by esteemed guests who shared their invaluable insights and provided an inspiring platform for students to kickstart their journey towards becoming successful business leaders. The notable guests included Ms. Meher Sangle, VP, Morgan Stanley | Morgan Stanley Advantage Services Pvt Ltd, and Ms. Hiral Rajput, VP, HR, South Asia, Hitachi Energy India Ltd.
Ms. Meher Sangle’s, VP, Morgan Stanley Advantage Services Pvt Ltd, speech was particularly noteworthy. Less than 20% of inauguration speeches are delivered by women, and she commended Nirma University for their commitment to diversity and inclusion, highlighting that 40% of the current batch is female. She introduced the Theory of Elimination, emphasizing that in a world of unlimited possibilities, it’s okay not to know what you want, but it’s important to know what you don’t want.
Ms. Hiral Rajput, VP, HR, South Asia, Hitachi Energy India Ltd shared valuable insights with the students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a child-like curiosity to keep the learning curve high and avoid complacency, the value of sharing and mutual growth, and the need to avoid shortcuts that undermine sustainability while keeping creativity alive. She urged the students to be kind, empathetic, and authentic, upholding ethics and integrity, and to apply the theory of relativity in understanding various aspects of life and work. Ms. Rajput encouraged self-belief and the liberation from the need for social approval, highlighting that what you give will come back to you, hence the importance of positive thinking and speaking. She stressed continuous learning by acquiring new knowledge every year, and emphasized self-love and respect, cultivating positive self-talk and maintaining a balanced and positive mindset.
For the new batches of MBA students at Institute of Management, Nirma University the ceremony signaled the start of an exciting academic adventure. The university is still dedicated to offering transformative education providing students with the experience and education they need to succeed in the fast-paced world of business.
