Kaizen, the Alumni Relations Committee of the Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU), successfully hosted Pratidhwani: The 12th Alumni Conclave on 7th December 2024. This much-anticipated event brought together esteemed alumni, industry leaders, and MBA students to engage in stimulating discussions around the theme, “FUSIONEX: Uniting Technologies, Economies, and Generations.” The Fusionex theme explored the intersection of cutting-edge technologies such as fintech and generative AI, innovative economic models like the shared economy, and the diverse generations, including Millennials and Gen-Z. The event showcased how IMNU alumni, as thought leaders, are bridging these domains and fostering innovation, mentorship, and collaboration.

The conclave began with the unveiling of Perspectrum: The Power of Diverse Perspectives in Shaping Futures, the annual alumni magazine. The opening session, featuring Mr. Chintan Mehta (MBA-FT 1998-2000), Director – Technology Advisory at KPMG India, and Mr. Nishith Modi (MBA-FT 1998-2000), Co-founder and owner of Ronson Chemicals, explored the intersection of technology and leadership in a rapidly evolving business landscape. A key panel discussion featured Mr. Manish Sharma (MBA-FT 2008-2010), Director – Head Independent Domestic Hotel Supply, MakeMyTrip, Ms. Sonika Gupta (MBA-FT 2001-2003), Executive Director, NielsenIQ, and Ms. Pratiti Shah (IMBA 2013-2018), Lead – Brand Management, Research & Consumer Insights, Smytten. The session highlighted emerging strategies in customer personalization, with a focus on how disruptive innovations are creating lasting customer loyalty.

Ms. Ayushi Godha (MBA-FT 2014-2016), Senior Brand Manager – EV at TVS Motor Company, led an insightful session on marketing to Millennials and Gen-Z. She introduced the concept of “Shopcalizing”—a fusion of shopping and socializing—emphasizing the importance of brands understanding and innovating for the digital-first generation.

Mr. Rajat Gupta (MBA-FBE 2005-2007), Executive Director at Starco Arochem Pvt. Ltd., explored the role of generative AI in family businesses, illustrating how it enhances creativity, improves conversions, and drives meaningful results through quality data. The afternoon sessions continued with valuable contributions from alumni such as Mr. Harsh Mehta (MBA-FT 2009-2011), Managing Partner, Future Automation Solution, and Ms. Mahima Sharma (IMBA 2013-2018), Sr. Credit Manager, Kotak Mahindra Bank, who shared their perspectives on bridging banking gaps, the impact of UPI on financial inclusion, and the role of IoT and AI in shaping future economies.

In a highly engaging session, Mr. Shalin Talajia (MBA-FBE 2014-2016), CEO & Founder of Grabenord, shared his entrepreneurial journey, discussing how automation has revolutionized manufacturing efficiency. He also addressed the complexities of building a brand, balancing visibility and profitability, and navigating the growth of a successful business.

Mr. Sukhvinder Singh (MBA-FT 2001-2003), Head of Sports Strategy, GMR Group, concluded the day’s discussions by reflecting on his journey and stressing the importance of aligning personal passion with professional growth. He shared valuable insights on the integration of data-driven decisions in the sports industry, emphasizing the importance of fan engagement and player integrity in shaping the future of sports. The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks, recognizing the contributions of over 11 distinguished speakers and the active participation of more than 600 attendees. Pratidhwani’24 showcased the transformative potential of technology, collaboration, and mentorship, with IMNU’s alumni leading the charge toward a progressive and innovative future.
